  2. Yes I knew most there too. Oasis and Janet, boozyoke. Some of the names were crackers.
  3. I think the crazy Saturdays in the Robin hood will go down in history, I bet there is still plenty of video footage. I think Dave must be keeping it for blackmail, he could make a fortune.
  4. Yes it would be interesting to see what is done with the pub now. I know from still speaking to a lot of the old regulars, they would love to go back. It wouldn't be the same as before, but that would be impossible. I think it would be nice to just enjoy the pub again and enjoy the memories. Dave's Stars in their eye's for one.
  5. Some of the old regulars travel down to Bridlington to see them on a Saturday. I dont think it was the "upmarket" scheme that was the problem, more so their attitude towards customers. Unless they were friends of the owners, you were treated as if you had just walked in to someone's home uninvited. They were very openly rude about the previous owners. As most customers considered Cath and Joan etc as good friends it was a foolish mistake as well as very unprofessional. I think they just jumped on the "save the pub" bandwagon and thought that would make them hero's.
  6. You understand very wrong. Yes if they had not bought the pub it would have been turned into flats but contrary to what the new owners would have you believe it did very well for itself. The previous owners worked extremely hard and were very well respected. Maybe if the new owners had been more respectful they might have done better for themselves and not offended all their potential customers.
  7. How much is admission to the discovery centre and what is there?
  8. Im sure many more people have made the same mistake. Just pour them out on to the floor. Some creature or other will eat them.
  9. It depends. They can actually stay as tadpoles till the next summer if the climate hasn't been right for them.
  10. They are magnified. In water they are just dark with a similar shape to tadpoles and a lot smaller. If you havent seen a tadpole since you were a child, I guess it would be quite a possible mistake.
  11. If you google images for mosquito larvae they can often look similar to tadpoles in the water but smaller. The spinning, Imp described is different to how tadpoles swim.
  12. Is it open to the public and what are the entrance fees?
  13. The LEAF project at Norwood allotments is open for volunteers. They meet at the allotments Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. www dot leafsheffield dot org dot uk
