Hey, I know this is completely the wrong time of year but wanted to plan ahead. I used to play regular cricket when I was younger. I'm now 27 and last played when I was around 15 so definitely a bit rusty. However I'm wanting to take it up again. Not looking to join anything too serious as like I say I'm very much out of practice and want to get back into it steadily. I've not lived in Sheffield long so wondered if anyone could help point me towards an amateur team I could join. I live in the Ecclesall area and drive so a small amount of travelling wouldn't be too out of the question. Thanks Andy

Hi I'm a guitarist looking to put a band together and start writing material. Looking to do something in the vein of A Perfect Circle, Tool, Karnivool, Mono, Mogwai, Isis, Envy, Queen Adreena etc. Currently I am the front man for an Industrial band but I'm looking to start a new project on the side and go back to being purely a guitarist and let someone else take the part of front man/woman. Hi, I'm a guitarist looking to setup up a Tool covers/tribute band. I've spent the last fortnight learning as many Tool songs as possible mainly for the fun of it, however it's put me in the mood for tracking down other Tool fanatics and putting a band together. Either for just a bit of fun or with the view to actually getting out and gigging. A quick background of myself; I'm 27 have been playing guitar for about 13 years, am the front man of an industrial band called The Gifted (we're on a hiatus at the moment as bassist has ear problems). At first I was a bit daunted by the concept of learning Tool songs but have surprised myself at how I've managed to pick them up (although some are just a f*****g nightmare) which has spurred me to put a band together. I'm wanting to keep it as authentic as possible so I'm looking for a bassist, drummer and vocalist. If anyone is interested please either respond to the thread or PM me.

We have an opening for a guitarist at the moment if you're still looking. We play industrial metal and are looking for a second guitarist. It's material that's already been written and recorded, we released an album a couple of years ago and are about to release a new EP in june. So we're looking for someone to come in a play live guitar for us on our up and coming gigs promoting the new EP. I am the front man for Sheffield based industrial band The Gifted, you can check us out on myspace (as this is my first post it won't let me put urls) To give you a quick background of the band, it is essentially a solo project of mine in that all the material I write and record myself. I've then put a live band together to perform my stuff live. I released my first album back in 2008 and am now about to release an EP this coming may. Thelive band is currently a three piece with myself on vocals and guitar, a bassist and a synth-ist, with drums and some sequenced synths and samples provided by drum machine and other automated hardware. We've now come to a point where we feel a need for a second guitarist for our forthcoming gigs including the EP launch. So it's basically session musicians job without the money of a session musicians job. As there is no creative input I have no problem if you have other projects and bands as well as this and there is no need for any long term commitment. It would be ideal if anyone who is interested is somewhat of a pedal geek and able to make some intereting noises but this is not essential as such pedals and noise boxes can be provided.
