Went on Wednesday. No atmosphere at all. Food average for price. Nice interior. A bit of background music would have made a difference.

Also what about Felicinis on Eccy Road, they have a 20% off promotion in April ( not sure if there are any t's and c's though)

Try Baan Thai they do fantastic meals, like Chinese but much better.

Like Chinese? Nope its Thai, the clue is in the name!

WHEN we learnt that a group of eight colleagues couldn't be accommodated at HaHa Bar & Grill for an Easter meal, we naturally opted to head to 23 Bar & Restaurant for our meal. I had eaten there once before in 2007 but the menu seemed completely different - as did the presentation of the food.

 

Why would one naturally opt to go 23 bar when HaHa is busy? Its not exactly next door is it? There are many other places much closer by.

I've not been for a couple of years. The one on Eccy Road used to have a tremendous chef called Gab, but he moved to his native France and opened a restaurant there. His cuisine was superb.

Do you need to be a chef to work at Cafe Rouge? When I went it all tasted like bland reheated stuff!

Sorry , no this place is just rubbish. Suprised it is still here. I cant they believe they are still around, any average Indian / Pakistani / Bangladeshi restaurant is better than this and they know it. I could cook better than this with no trouble.

Now opened on Saturday 20 March as Babylons (Asian and Medditerranian )restaurant. Anyone been yet?

A new landlord has just taken over the The Blue Ball at Hillsborough, bet you could cut a deal with him.

I used to go but there was a period where there seemed to be a lot of trouble so we stopped going. I will let others try it out first.

Does anyone know if the Portugese restaurant still exists in Tideswell?

Eccy Road is by far the best place in Sheffield. If I were looking to move house I would always consider how far away it would be to a decent pub or restaurant.

Does anyone know if The Dropkick Murphys are coming to Sheffield?

Mamas and Leonies is always busy pre theatre and only a couple of minutes walk away - near car parks too.
