  1. Good Evening All, I am hoping someone may be able to help me out here. A friend of mine wants to set up a webcam to view at work of their conservatory to keep an eye on some new puppies when they are at work. They asked for advice but I am not sure what is the best method of doing this? Does anyone know any decent software or have a similar set-up? I've done some research and it was all talking about port-forwarding if not a static Ip which I don't think it is and it was all getting a bit complicated, when I think there must be an easier solution? Any help much appreciated, Chloe
  2. Evening all, I'm moving house soon and won't be able to take my fish all set up so I need to get the little guys a new home. I have 3 neon tetras and 2 red tetras, they are all nice and well behaved etc and lived quite comfortably with my molly before it died. You will need to come and collect them, I'm in S7 (Just off Sharrow Lane). I would like them collected asap really though because I think my heater may have just given up too so I want to get them somewhere sorted. Please PM me for more information or to arrange to collect them. Thanks, Chloe
  3. Afternoon foodies! I was wondering if anyone had a good recipe or advice for cooking a trout fillet? It's frozen. I was planning on just having potatoes and some parsley sauce but I feel a bit more adventurous. I have only cooked fish once before though and it was a bit of a disaster! I like spiced food, is it quite a strong taste that would hold against some asian flavours or am I best just with some stock or something? Oh, and I'm dieting so no go for butter or cream :-( Thanks! Chloe x
  4. We just used http://www.sensecreative.co.uk and I was very impressed with the price and delivery, the quality was fantastic too, free finishing was great.
  5. Hi, I was having a lot of problems with my sky+, tried everything sky said and some things off the internet but the following seemed to work, I'm not saying it will for everyone but we had problems with it freezing up, blue screen, wouldn't switch on etc. Since I did this it's been fine. When you go to your planner, don't select anything but press right on the remote. It will bring up a different version of the planner with everything on it, like things that have failed etc. I had soooo many things on there that had failed or been interupted. Delete all the failed or viewed things. That's it. And mine was fine, no probs since. Hope it helps someone cos I was searching for a while when it went all crazy. Chloe x
  6. Evening all, I know it's big ask but I have been having some problems with my job hunting and would really appreciate if someone objective with some experience of seeing lots of CVs or what an employer is looking for that I am not showing would have a quick read of mine and offer a little advice? Maybe I could do something in return like a bit of typing or something?! I can't see where I am going wrong but I have had this CV a while and it maybe needs some work? Obviously I can't change some things like not finishing uni but maybe there is a better way to say it? I would prefer to email it to someone if possible. Again, I know it's a big ask but I would be willing to do something in return if you can think of anything suitable. Thanks for reading.
  7. Hello, Bit of a boring question but it's been puzzling me for a bit! When it's frosty or like now the bits of snow are melting the bits where the pipes have been put in after the pavement always melt first? I think the lines are tarmac? Is there a scientific reason why it melts on there quicker?!
  8. Can anyone help or advise me on how to save this plant? The leaves are going yellow and dying on all but one leaf! I have watered it and given it some house plant food but don't know what else to do, I keep wetting the dry leaves in an attempt to rescue it. Any tips greatly appreciated. Also, how moist should the soil be and how often should I water it and wet the leaves? It's in the living room near the window but not in direct sunlight. :-) Thanks! Chloe x
  9. Which one didn't you like? I've just joined at Green's Gym on Napier Street at 5.30pm Monday's. Nice leader, Rachel, and the group seems nice. I think it's quite a new-ish group so there aren't loads of people that have been together ages like you sometimes get.
  10. Tia Maria and Orange Juice..... mmmmmm...... Chocolate Orange!
  11. Thanks for the tip, just gone a bit slow-cooker mad since I got one for xmas! :-)
  12. I've seen the big pots at Makro but you need a card? Also, the chinese shop that's on a street off the more have loads of chilli sauces, some in big bottles and there is a lovely one with garlic that's only about £1 for a litre and it's lovely. I just make my own though with Very Lazy Chillies and tomato ketchup :-)
  13. Afternoon everyone, I am planning on trying a few new things over the next few weeks as I have realised that there are loads of things I haven't even tried! I seem to have the same meals every 2 weeks or so. So, next weeks ingredients to use are pak choi and spinach. I want to make a slow cooked chinese-style broth with noodles and pak choi and spinach. I was thinking that I can put the broth in the slow cooker and the cook the spinach just to serve when I get home. I wasn't sure about the pak choi? Will it stand being in the slow cooker for 8 hours or should I do it quickly with the spinach or put it in the slow cooker for the last hour!? Thanks for the help, Next week's project is bulgur wheat so if anyone has any ideas I'm open (low fat though!) to them :-) Chloe x
  14. I have tried the cable and it said 100.00 Mbps but it was still running slowly. The PC that is on the same router is working fine, I took the cable from the PC to the laptop but it didn't work as well. It seems to be a problem with the laptop getting the speeds to it that are available, I've never had an issue with it before? It's always been a really good speed and connection. The connection is at full bars so it's not that bit. I will just have to leave it for a few days because I don't really know what's gone wrong here! :-(
  15. Evening all, Hope someone can help me here 'cos I've just come off the phone to sky after about 30mins and am still none the wiser; they didn't even understand the problem! Basically, my laptop internet has always been fine, and it usually runs at 54.00 Mbps, I have been away recently and been using someone else's connections. Having just got home today and re-connected to mine it's only running at 11.00Mbps, which is proving quite slow for even browsing never mind downloading. I have had to disable my laptops wireless management set-up and move to using the Windows one. Any ideas appreciated, It's Sky Broadband, a Sagem router and my laptop is an old-ish ASUS running XP Prof Thank you! Chloe
