Thanks for your replies. The garage said they had cleaned it best they could however they couldnt get it all off. If it will burn off then i'll not worry, she's over in manchester alot so just abit worried it will go up in flames in the middle of the snake pass. Thanks for the advice as my knowledge of cars is minimul at best.

My girlfriends car recently had an oil leak. The oil leak has been fixed however there is still an amount of oil left around the engine which smells bad and also smokes slightly when the engine gets hot. If anyone could give me any advice about how I can get rid of this excess oil round engine it would be very much appreciated. Would steam cleaning work or does this have potential to damage the engine with all the electrical stuff in modern cars ? It’s a Vauxhall Astra if that makes a difference.

Yes it's my own car for work purposes. Thanks for the info didn't know it had gone up to 45p either. Is there any where on HM revenue and customs website I can get this info from so I can give it to my employer as back up.

Can anyone give me any advice on private car mileage. I've just recieved my private car mileage back from my employers in my salary however I seem to have been taxed on it leaving it not even covering the fuel i've used. As far as I was aware private car mileage was tax free so can't understand why i've got so little back. Any advice would be appreciated Thanks

Tripadvisor Sheffield Restaurant Reviews - Bogus?
WARDY1 replied to AYBABTU's topic in Going out in Sheffield
I hope SF it not the best restaurant in Sheffield. I went afew months ago thought it overpriced and nothing special. We had to ask for cutlery when our food came, ask to order some drinks and i'm assuming all the burgers where pre-cooked as we could have medium burgers ?. Wasn't very keen on decor upstairs either. Don't think i will be returning in a hurry. On a brighter note though went to the mediterranean on sharrow vale road recently. Have to say the food and service was amazing. Not the cheapest place but worth every penny. -
Which martial art for 'older' beginners?
WARDY1 replied to Towton's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
Personally I don't agree with trying to increase your fitness prior to finding a martial arts club. Surely the more you train in whatever martial art you choose the fitter you will become. If you can only do 10 press ups when u start out the next week you might do 11 and so on and so forth. From my experience i've never been to any martial arts club that has been anything but friendly and helpful. http://www.nortondojo.co.uk/ -

WARDY1 replied to dean oxley's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I'm after one T shirt printed with a photo and a little but of text. Just wondering if anyone knew where I could get this done and roughly how much it would cost. Cheers -
I might be intersted too. Wouldn't mind light sparring aswell. I have focus mitts and kick shield but need a partner. Any ideas when & where ?

Hi, After recently coming back from my holidays and managing to drop my camera in the swimming pool, I thought it might be time to purchase a new camera. My now deceased camera was a point and shoot Ricoh R4. I loved the 7x optical zoom however trying to take a picture at night or in any amount of limited light it was useless. Basically I want something that will be able to take photos in limited light and actually capture something rather than just blackness and would quite like a decent zoom. Was thinking about a hybrid camera as opossed to a point and shoot but any guidance would be appreciated. Would like to spend between £200 and £300 but could go a little higher depending. Thanks

Excellent meal in the G casino restaurant
WARDY1 replied to ChrisT70's topic in Going out in Sheffield
From my point of view it has nothing to do with G casino's food budget, it's how it's cooked, which to be frank is poorly. Are proper chefs employed at the casino ? -
Excellent meal in the G casino restaurant
WARDY1 replied to ChrisT70's topic in Going out in Sheffield
To be honest I would vote for Napoleans every time. I've eaten in the restaurant at G casino 5 or 6 times and had one good meal and that was when it opened. The most recent time was about 3 weeks ago and food was terrible. The waitress even took the starters off the bill without us even saying anything it was that bad. I like the place but i'm sorry the food is awful. -
Can anyone recommend a nice B&B or hotel in Holmfirth, preferably within walking distance to the centre. Telephone numbers or website links would be a help aswell. Thanks Ben
