  1. good news, the incoming head is organising a new logo.

Abbeydale recently got a new logo (lots of colourful dots - I rather like it), but wonder what effect it had? King Teds on the other hand, still appears to have it's original logo. Not saying there's anything significant about this but my kid's doing ok at KES, even with an old-fashioned logo.

  2. I think that if you do not vote, then you cannot complain about the state of politics today.I know about the voter apathy but I think it is just an excuse as a lot of teenagers over 18 cannot be bothered to tear themselves away from their playstations and walk a few hundred yards to the polling station.

I was proud that my 18 year old went to vote for the first time.I shall encourage him to continue. The suffragettes fought long and hard for a vote for women, so I believe that we should all get out there and make the changes that this country so desperatley needs.Political parties can be shaped by protests and votes.Sitting at home on the settee will never change anything!!

I tend agree with you, espadrille. Apathy is an enemy of democracy. I think that even if you don't want to vote for any of the parties standing, you could at least go to the polling station and ''spoil'' your ballot paper by writing 'none of the above' or something similar on it. That way you register your protest in a way that can be counted and not disregarded.

  3. Could you give us a few examples of what you mean, please? I can't be bothered to listen to party political broadcasts anymore...

That would be too easy ;) Besides, I'm obviously biaised and would only give selective links or quotes. Much better to shake off your political weariness, and trust your own judgement and interpretation.
