I work for the council and in the bad weather tradesmen are told to park up safely and wait for any emergency repairs that may arise. As you can imagine in this weather even councils can be short staffed! Is the purpose of this post to get someone into trouble who has actually made an effort to get into work in these conditions?

Carver fields is in Crosspool in the Sheffield 10 area.

I've noticed professional dog walkers walking dogs on calver fields on hagg lane. I've witnessed them walking several dogs but never picking up their waste. The amount of dog muck left on this field by dog walkers either professional or not makes it hazardous for children playing. I just wanted your comments. Is this acceptable? Is it an offence? Is it commercial waste if it's a professional dog walker?

Does anyone know where I could find any wild apples growing in the S10 or S6 area of Sheffield. I have recently brought a cider press and I am looking for any spare apples growing wild.

Hi , just read your post about the novotel. i am having my wedding there later this year, but they are charging me £27 per head for the meal Then £12 per head for the drinks and the evening buffet is £13 per head , how come your getting it so cheap or am i been ripped off ?

I am not surprised your neighbors get annoyed if it's left outside their house all week. This seems a very selfish attitude. I always try not to park outside neighbor's houses but if i have to i would move it at the first opportunity, i would never dream of leaving it there all week its a case of being courteous.

Becky B How long do you leave your car there for ? If it's just a day or two they have no reason to complain , but if you are leaving it there for say a week i can see their point. you are not doing anything wrong in the eyes of the law but i see it as the hight of bad manners. I too have a problem with someone leaving their car outside my house all week, it moves slightly at the weekend but is then parked up all week again, week in week out.
