  1. I'm calling on all you big hearterd Sheffield'ers to help me out, and in return, I'll give the best advice a free shoot and framed print as a thank you! I'm currently looking for some awesome portrait locations. As part of updating my portfolio I need some cool / different / funky / weird & wonderful locations in and around Sheffield. Think wall murals, warehouses, interesting architecture and so on... Now as a thank you for everyone taking the time to think and noting your suggestions, I will give the best idea a free lifestyle shoot and print. So Sheffield friends, what do you think? I know you won't disappoint and I'm already looking forward to reading your ideas Thanks Karl
  2. Hi Firstly merry Christmas everyone of Sheffield Forum! Secondly, I'm looking for some one-to-one badminton coaching. Anyone know of a good coach, preferable near'ish to S6 area, but willing to travel if not? Thank you and have a good festive period all!
  3. That was the one I was using, and now need to replace! Found them reliable and very good ironing quality. They started offering their service from home from a few weeks ago (cos of rental costs of the shop). But since they've moved, the ironing is now done in a smokey environment and I just don't accept that my freshly washed clothes should be tainted with stale smoke. Did you have a negative experience too?
  4. Does anyone know of or run an ironing service arounds Hillsborough, that doesn't make your clothes smell of smoke? thanks!
  5. Hi All Keep an eye on Camera Confidence, we hope to have some photographer and videography based courses coming soon. Timescales yet to be determine but we are working hard I promise. In the interim we can still offer one-2-one training on almost any topic... ...so if you have something in mind, then drop us an email to discuss. The website is http://www.cameraconfidence.co.uk Good luck all Karl
  6. cbr6man and other... Have any of you still got any free top soil going?? If so how much? I'll might be able to organise collection next week... THANK YOU ALL
  7. Thanks Tab1. For your van did you go sign writing or partial/full wrap (as you can tell I've been doing some investigations)? Either way, how long have you had it and has it kept in good condition? Also, what is it like for cleaning? Can you just clean as normal, e.g. hand wash and the occasion car wash, or do you have to avoid car washes??? Cheers Karl
  8. Hi I'm currently planning on getting some sign writing done for my company car and would welcome ANY advice people can offer. What I seeking is anything on the following topics: 1) What sign writing has worked for other people in the past, e.g. must have in large text such as the website address. 2) Not knowing anything about sign writing what "type" should I have? Is there different types of sign writing for company vehicles? 3) How much should I pay for an average set of sign writing to a car? 4) Any sign writing companies people can recommend or avoid? 5) Anything else I'm not aware of, e.g. I've seen on a prior forum insurance costs increase, is this correct or anything else I need to consider??? Finally, thank you in advance for anyone's help. Best wishes Karl
  9. Hi I can realy recommend Maria & Pete - for more info, please see my other post here for all of there contact details, etc. http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?p=5190643#post5190643 Bets of luck Karl
  10. Hi I currently have a commercial & domestic cleaner working for me, for my home and studio. They do a fantastic job, and are at a very reasonable rates. Having a quick chat the other day, they said they were looking for additional work, so this is me doing my bit back for them. So, if anyone is looking for a excellent cleaner for their business or home, I can highly recommend Maria and the gang! Please contact Maria directly on 07769-953598 for further information, but do not hesitate in contacting myself for a reference/testimonial... Some extra information. They are based in the S6 area, but cover the vast majority of Sheffield and surrounding area. For domestic, they utilise a lot of their own equipment which is a bonus. On a commercial level, they already work unsocial hours, e.g. outside of office hours, and are happy to continue if needed. Finally, Maria is not only a gerat cleaner, but a delight to know... I hope this helps you to.... Karl
  11. Hi I hope you fellow forum'ers can help, as I'm positive many other parents are thinking the same... Being a dad of two gorgeous girls (4 months & 3.5 years), and having friends in similar positions, we are desperately struggling to find some good local pub/restaurants to frequently use and have a nice relaxed (ok relaxed might be a very optimistic word with a 3yr old, but I live in hope!) meal and a social catch-up whilst the kids tire themselves out! So please please please help with any recommendations (or blatant publicity for that matter) of any good pubs/restaurants in the Sheffield and surrounding area with kids facilitates. Any near Hillsborough would be a bonus, but I'd love to hear of any... BIG thanks in advance. Karl

  13. Hi I have seen several posts and was asked by several people on the day about who, where and when the photographs of the day will be. Well to help it was myself (Karl at Stancliffe Studios) at the Ecclesfield Gala. I covered the event at request of the charity / host. I covered this as Cancer is a personal charity of mine, as you will see from the spectacular event I'm organising (the Fire & Ice event for Weston Park Hospital). To learn more please see my main thread here - http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=381012 or the event website at http://www.westonparkevent.co.uk. With regards to the photographs, a large selection of photographs are now available from my website at http://www.stancliffestudios.com. A direct link to the event gallery this: http://www.stancliffestudios.com/event_gallery.html. All the prints on the website are for sale and the profit from any sales will also be donated to Macmillan Charity. I covered the following on the day: 1) The general gala atmosphere, stalls etc 2) I also took a number of the classic cars and trucks 3) Saffron - the very talent young singer 4) The Karate guys n gals 5) The wonderful falconry display 6) The girls of the Fleur de Lys - Majorettes 7) The second half of the dog show, upto and including the last event.
