You dont have to send all the bond to be held by a third party, you can also use mydeposits.co.uk who you pay a fee too dependent on the amount of bond, its insurance backed. Only if you have a dispute you send the bond to them and they decide on the outcome.

My mother in law who has just been diagnosed with Altzheimers has had her purse (and £400.00) stolen from her flat by a con-man pretending to sell cleaning materiels at the door. This happened in the S2 Arbouthorne area. Please inform anyone vunerable not to answer the door to anyone trying to sell door to door. I also understand this has happened recently to other victims.

Nothing wrong with the letter, I sent one out to all my tenants which was very similar. Spoke to another landlord I know today who has just been informed that his newly refurbished property is flooded top to bottom (2ft of water in the cellar) due to the tenants turning the boiler off and going away for a fortnight. And all the tenants belongings are ruined, they also had a letter and text message sent to them before they left!!!
