  1. Having a blast with this rather nifty little app. Controls are a little tricky at first, but you can customise them and manic miner is very definately playable. Iphone/pad/touch only though.
  2. Where is this information coming from? Can you provide a link to where this is reported?
  3. Just out of interest, how do you know it's 12? Can you provide a link?
  4. My bold. Can you provide proof of this, or is it your own conjecture? Do you have any common sense? Serious question. Sufc have made a statement regarding the matter, quoted thus: “The Club recognises the seriousness of these events and as such wishes to respond in a responsible way when it has taken sufficient time to consider the matter fully” At the moment, that is all they will be allowed to say. In due time, when all the legal matters are resolved regarding evans' contract, they will issue a further statement.
  5. If you're in the mood, try and have some fun winding them up and making them hang up on you, instead of the other way around. Ask them to hold the line, then go and make a cup of tea or feed the cat, whatever. After 20 minutes or so they usually give up Even better, try something like this... poor mike...
  6. Certainly. Grocery/basic food stuffs aren't subject to tax, but hot food/takeaways are, and could be raised..
  7. I know that. I should clarify, I was meaning they might face themselves behind in the race for automatic promotion, not the play-offs.
  8. Indeed. If i were a s.w supporter, i'd be keeping any eye over my shoulder about the fact that they've played the most games out of the top six teams, and that they could find themselves in 6th place and struggling to stay with the race, if all those other teams were to have a purple patch with their games in hand...
  9. In case you missed it, here is an important bit from #22 again. THIS SIGN, and THIS SIGN are clearly noticeable by any driver paying attention (which they should be doing, or else what other signs are they also missing?), whether or not the driver understands what they mean is a another matter. The website is irrelevant when you are in a vehicle driving. Then there are the markings. And in case you also don't understand the highway code, the sign in question is showing you what vehicles are allowed through the bus lane. Furthermore, a bus lane which has no hours of operation on the sign operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Again, highway code. Read it, Learn it, Love it. Also this And this.
  10. LOL, so i did, sorry! Perhaps i should keep it, that way the OP could appeal their fine and say they definately didn't notice it...
  11. Uh huh. So I suppose as you were driving along Holme ln, past Towsure (as stated in your OP), worryingly, you missed this sign as well, also quite clear. Or perhaps you just don't understand the highway code? FYI, that sign is showing you what vehicles are allowed through the bus gate, also, a bus lane which states ‘At any time’ or has no hours of operation on the sign operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just, no.
  12. My bold Even less of an excuse then, LOL! There you go, in the middle of the picture... bearing in mind this picture was taken by a vehicle travelling on the opposite side of the road to the sign, it's still clear! In reality you're actually alot nearer when driving towards the sign, and have plenty of opportunity to notice it, "especially on a busy saturday when the traffic is bad", and crawling at a snails pace, unless of course you aren't driving with due care and attention...
  13. LOL! road sign is pretty clear (which you should be aware of if driving with due care and attention), as is info on council website
  14. Canton King of 200 Middlewood Road, Sheffield, has been given a Food Hygiene Rating of 0 stars by Sheffield City Council on 16th November 2011 http://www.scoresonthedoors.org.uk/business/canton-king-sheffield-75025.html#
  15. Not at all surprising. This week's re-arranged game against Reading is a 'Category C' fixture, as it was when it was originally scheduled. There are four (sometimes three) such category C games per season, each costing £10, details of which can be found easily via sufc.co.uk..
  16. Oh really? Amazing thing twitter, until he arrived back yesterday he's been working in australia for the past couple of months... Sure it wasn't elvis?

  20. Slightly OT, but if the EU gets its way and implements the '3 strikes and your banned' law (starting with a vote on the issue tomorrow), the nature of filesharing/downloading is going to change anyway, and considerably so... "This is the so-called "three strikes" law, proposed by the big media companies. If your ISP decides that your IP address is involved in file-sharing, the most likely process will be that they'll have to send you two warning letters, then on the third strike, they disconnect and blacklist you. Period. No appeal. Doesn't matter if it was someone else in your household, maybe your flatmate, your kids, or a mate and you never knew about it. Doesn't matter if your PC was hit by malware, or someone hacked your wi-fi. Doesn't matter if you weren't actually filesharing illegally, you just tripped some automated system on the ISP's servers because you downloaded a shedload of stuff."
  21. Are you referring to my post? If so The Start > right arrow > u method to shutdown vista has worked for me without fail for every flavour of it I see installed on the many hundreds of pc rigs (inc. foreign language) that I work on as a contractor...
  22. It can be done in 5 keystrokes.... Start key > right arrow 3 times > enter (or u) ..or, if at the desktop... Alt+F4 > down arrow > enter
