A talented friend of mine has now limited his guitars to acoustic may be interested if you aren't sorted out already. He is a blues rock player with many years experience and it would do him well to get back into a group of some sort

If you haven't seen it, try watching the Metal Evolution documentaries on YouTube. They are great and show that evolution of blues, rock, jazz and classical into metal and that as a genre, it is not simply a niche or cult appeal but an intelligent form of music.

Odd thing mate, I'm a 30 year old guitarist who's a bit rusty ( but practised none stop over the last 6 weeks ) who also tends towards funk and rock. And joined this website looking for a jam.
