  1. You don't always get what you pay for. Eggs from battery hens advertised as free-range or barn-raised have been found on the shelves of high street stores by consumer watchdogs, a new report has revealed. Roadside couple fined for selling 12,000 battery eggs as farm-fresh.
  2. A bogeyman is an amorphous imaginary being used by adults to frighten children into compliant behavior. A fitting definition for God which the gullible and the simple minded follow and fear without question.
  3. Anti Islamic sentiment is growing across the whole of Europe, its not just British problem.
  4. A long history of being attacked by Islamic forces. Look up the Battle of Varna.
  5. Plate of salad and tinned fish, no cooking required.
  6. Record levels of immigration have had "little or no impact" on the economic well-being of Britons, an influential House of Lords committee has said. It says competition from immigrants has had a negative impact on the low paid and training for young UK workers, and has contributed to high house prices.
  7. Its not going to change any time soon because a third of MP's are also private landlords, the rest own more than one house so have a vested interest in keeping property prices high.
  8. That story has two sides and is a little confusing, Tesco claim they couldn't fill the vacancies locally whilst residents and councilors say the vacancies should have been advertised locally because there are many local people seeking work. The question then is, was it advertised locally and if so why didn't one of the many unemployed in that area take the jobs. Its a bit odd that I can't quote someone's post in its entirety just because it as a link.
  9. The young people on the program were applying for any job that was available, many would have loved a job in a supermarket, they just wanted a job and it didn't matter to them what it was.
  10. I watched a program about young unemployed people in Britain, they were applying for hundreds of jobs but not getting interviews, this dispels the myth that they don’t want to work, there are over a million young people desperate for work so encouraging more immigrants to come here to work is senseless.
  11. It would be better to employ 140,000 unemployed benefits claimants each year which would cut government expenditure and increase tax receipts at the same time.
