Clearly yesterday's flight has taken a big deviation off the great circle route to avoid US airspace.

If that's the case and as seen as this bit of information was not put in the officers report, did the planning committee before making any final decision about the Next store know that Mr Caulfiled had been told by experts that any grounds for rejecting the application were at best weak.

And yes we have had mass shootings in the UK after Dunblane but they have been few and far between. I could be wrong but I think we have only had 3 mass shooting in the UK in 25 years and just 1 since Dunblane.

It will most likely be wannabe gangbangers down in the rougher parts of town taking pop shots at each other. Criminals will always find away to get guns, even with our gun controls. What we don't seem to suffer from over this side of the pond is someone going poatal and shooting up a Starbucks after a bad day at the office or some loner taking out a class full of kids after playing too many PS3 shoot em ups.
