Thanks for the suggestions, I like Marmadukes but it's a bit cramped.

Any suggestions for somewhere for a decent sandwich at lunchtime not too far from the Crucible? I'm taking my 90 year old mum to the theatre and would like somewhere comfy where you don't feel crammed in next to the other customers. Mum likes Andrews on Chapel Walk but it's makes me feel claustrophobic! Thanks

I need to get a harness to keep my golden retriever safe in the back seat of my car. I want one that is clipped into the seat belt holder rather than loop through the seat belt itself. Any suggestions for a decent one for a large dog? Thanks

I've taken some blankets and duvets down this afternoon (after calling first) and they were very happy to have them. Their preference is for washable bedding naturally but were grateful for the duvets too. Took some chocs too, hats off to anyone who can do such a hard job

Sheffield Pound in Spring Street have made an urgent appeal for dog bedding, old blankets, duvets etc as the concrete floors are very cold for the poor dogs, I'm sure they would be grateful.

Has anyone come across a solution, either homemade or bought, that will help a large, older, slightly arthritic dog into the back seat of a car? The car has rear doors but they don't open wide enough to use a ramp so I guess I'm thinking a wide step of some sort. Obviously we can lift him as well but it would be good to have something that makes it easier and more comfortable for him. Any ideas? Thanks
