A card has been delivered to my address with a different name on it, my Young daughter opened the card because she thought it was for her(with it being pink ) Inside was a ten pound note and a christmas card for someone else. So.....what would you do? Would you keep the money? Would you try and trace the owners? Or would you put it in a charity box? My wife thinks we should keep it (finders keepers and all that) I think we should give it to charity as it is going to be impossible to track down the owners. What would you do?

If you knew anything at all about decent breeding then that would have been your first port of call, not on an internet forum. I have said my piece and if it is harsh then tough, i hope you do not have puppies but then again its the ones like you who get away with it.

So what is the alternative? allow people to carry on backstreet breeding while people such as myself are on the other end destroying the results of their ill gotten gains? I have absolutely no problem at all with people responsibly breeding and would be as supportive as i could be but the "lets make a few quid " gang need stopping NOW and if that makes me high and mighty then so be it but i for one am sick to death of holding down dogs who are being killed for no other reason than someone decided to make money off them.

Maybe i am being presumptive but i don't care. Every week i see the after effects of unknowledgeable and "getmoneyquick" breeding and it makes my p*ss boil that people so blantently do it! Have you ever held a dog as the first injection to destroy it goes in? Have you ever had it look you in the eye full of trust and love before it fall to sleep. Have you ever seen some of them convulse and defecate all over before they die? All of this is caused by the people like above who have no idea about what they are doing and use animals as a money spinner. If she did not have time to care for a sodding cat, how the hell is she going to cope with a house full of puppies?

So why get rid of a cat because you don't have the time? As for breeding and knowing all about it, god help us all Any breeder worth half their salt would never EVER advertise for a breeding bitch on a site like this or on the other sites you frequent. Grow up and admit that you just want to make money from these animals. A decent breeder selects their bitch at around 5 weeks old and knows fully ALL of the history, not just on the bitch they have chosen but on previous lines,inbreeding, faults and temperament. After gaining this knowledge they then raise the pup on the best nutritional diet they can, they study their bitch's temperament and decide whether she is suitable to whelp puppies, they certainly DO NOT advertise on open forums for any K.C bitch that might be availible.

So sorry for your loss, our pets are our gaudian angels and it rips the very soul from you when they have to leave us. My thoughts are with you xx

Are large breed dogs allowed to come? and new members? I have a dopey Dogue De Bordeaux but he is well behaved and well socialised. It would be nice to put faces to names after being a lurker of the forum for many months
