  1. Real opportunities for the young are less available than they have been for many generations. We have removed any real hope that they may have had to a place of their own. It was removed in the Thatcher era. Older generations took that for granted as social housing was readily available. That is a massive option to take away from our youngsters.
  2. I think that we need to look at it in the context of time. It is much more difficult for a young adult to leave home now and "go it alone" as they used to. Social housing is virtually a thing of the past as are truly permanent jobs. We are living through unprecedented times and the signs are that they are going to get worse.
  3. They are easy to fit if you have the right tools. The guy who fitted mine had a tool that pushed the piston cylinders back into place. I pay to get mine fitted because if you ring around you can get it done almost as cheaply as DIY. And brakes wrongly fitted can cause problems.
  4. So infact the poor are punished far more for speeding offences than the rich.
  5. They always focus on extorting money from already hard pressed motorists.
  6. I passed the 11+ the first time around and went to Mexborough Grammar School. It was changed into a Comprehensive just a few years later by the people who were probably the PC forerunners.
  7. Right and wrong have always been subjective. Everyone has the right to be wrong.
  8. In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.
  9. I get loads of nuisance phone calls, but I just tell her to get the dinner on.
