  1. I live in Wincobank and mine is discloured and very murky. Is anybody else having problems in Wincobank
  2. Yes - Joan has mentioned you to me - your husband's does Joan's gardening. It was one very big dog that actually attacked Holly and 2 smaller dogs who just ran around us both. I would have reported it to the police but I didn't realise until I got back to Joan's that she had actually bit her. Hopefully posting it on the forum will help me find her and then I will report her to the police.
  3. Hello fabcakes It sounds like your sister-in-law is the same person I walk the dog (Holly) for. Is that the case ? I just want to try and get this sorted for her. As I say I feel really bad about this for the lady and Holly.
  4. Hello Evei Thank you for your kind words. I am sorry to hear about your dog being bit also. I feel bad about not reporting this to the police and I just feel I should warn people about this dog and her owner as I am concerned this could happen again and it would probably attack anything.
  5. I am a volunteer for the Cinammon Trust and I walk a dog for an elderly disabled lady in Shiregreen. On Monday 5 March 2012 at approximately 5.30 pm the dog, Holly, who is a golden labrador was attacked whilst on her lead by a large brown/black with a very thick woolly coat (not sure of breed). This happened on the pennine trail towards Parson Cross. This dog was off lead and belonged to a woman who also had two other dogs, Jack Russell type, also off lead. The woman called the larger dog, Kai and it took some time before she managed to pull this dog away. This left Holly severely traumatised and when I got her home later found a deep puncture wound on her shoulder. The vets was closed but took her the next day when they informed me the wound was infected and gave her antibiotics. I have been on holiday for a week and on my return found Holly had taken a turn for the worse and her wound had become more infected requiring an operation and drainage tubes inserted and more treatment required. I am concerned that this dog is running loose and could do the same to other dogs or children. Unfortunately I did not get any details of this irresponsible dog owner just a mouthful of abuse from her. Any help in tracing her and her dogs would be appreciated.
  6. Oh gosh yes - I can remember standing with my father outside electrical shop looking at football results - what a lovely memory for me. There was also a very good fruit shop, but can't remember their name.
  7. Blimey - these photographs brought back lots of memories for me. My father was often seen on the escalators repairing them - they were always being stopped by kids messing about and people generally abusing them. Also, the fish tank was a popular place to meet for a 1st date and I have been stood up a few times there !!! (sob sob)
  8. Mick came to mend my car door on Saturday - he did a very thorough job and I would highly recommend him.
  9. Could somebody please give me contact details for this mechanic and do you know if he can mend a broken car door. Thank you.
  10. Anywhere on Jenkin Road, Wincobank - especially the top or along Fort Hill Road
  11. Hello - I will hopefully be joining you on Sunday for the first time.
