Kelly Temple

Recommended Posts

Can anyone remember Radio Hallam DJ Kelly Temple, he was considered a little controversial and irreverent at the time.

I recently found some audio tapes in the loft where I had recorded songs off his show (I'll come quietly officer) and he sounded like a public school boy and was very tame.

How times change.

I think the reason he was controversial is because no one could understand how a DJ who was so bad could be on the radio :hihi:

I took part in a pop quiz on Radio Hallam(as it was then) with him.He always seemed like a decent DJ to me.Played my sort of music anyway but I never won the Jackpot round because I failed to recognise the intro to Clean Clean by the Buggles.

Roger Moffat was quite controversial, especially after a lunch session in the Old Blue Bell...LOL

Kelly Temple was a very good presenter for his time he did the revive 45 show on a Thursday nights a must listen for me every week.

Him and Ray Stuart stood out from the rest who were mainly ex BBC hasbeens (Rouse an exeption) or old school vintage warriors who should have been on radio 4.

They were easily Hallams best days
