Does anyone remember the bouncers at that old club in Barkers Pool?

Names from the 90's like Big Jim (RIP) the former wrestler and Mick Mills, the noted Rotherham boxer?

I remember Big Jim, he was like a house side. The wrestler was Alan Kilby, he was deaf and dumb and a very tough lad.

I knew a lot of the bouncers at various places, Pete Bex from the early days.

Also Hungarian Mick, Joe Durrant, Ronnie Crookes and Ian McIntyre to name but a few.

How's the weather in Bournemouth, I used to live there for a while,(Holdenhurst Road)

My mum use to clean there in the 70's/80's and when i was poorly and off school she took me with her, i found loads of money on floors and use to go in kitchen and help my self to what i wanted and go behind bar and get what i wanted. LOVED IT met alan kilby loads of times and someone called Ted

Wasn't that 'Italian Ted', who also was at that casino on Ecclesall Road ,Ted Giordano from Bari, Italy, he lived at Handsworth. What happened to him ?

Last I heard he had a Pizza Take away in Killamarsh, that man was as full of crap as a silage tank just before emptying.

Most of them were actually on duty getting paid for nothing.

It was the dark days of the Sheffield Police force.

Some of the regular coppers in Josies were Terry Price, Brian Wilson, Farnsworth, and Storer, the latter got locked up for being bent in the metals case, another one called "King" got time for dealing drugs with Tony Bashforth.

All a lot of sheffield coppers thought they had to do was verbal suspects up and then flit around Sheffield night clubs and pubs larging it up.

Ronald Sagar of Humberside police was brought in and they soon had to clean their act up.

you say the dark days of the SHEFFIELD police, not a lot has improved so i am told, i left in the 60s prior to then i had dealings with that lot and they never won when it came to me. All they are is a mob of BULLIES
