Nick B
Ghosts are not real. Sorry to disagree with you, but I believe they are, having some ghostly experiences myself. I used to live in a Georgian house on Sharrow Lane and there was definitely something in the cellar there. We had a collie dog called Peggy at the time and she would under no circumstances go down there. And I know that the house I lived in on the Gleadless Valley estate was haunted by the benign spirit of the old lady who used to live there in the seventies. And I used to do voluntary work in the early nineties at the Sheffield Fire Museum So ghosts are real! Don't know about Bramley hall though, never been there. I am sure any future residents will post when they need info!
Grandaughter
Since my last posting, I visited Shibden Hall, a very old house near Halifax. The man who was giving us a guided tour explained that such old and grand homes often had concealed doors and passages both inside the house and under the garden so that the indoor servants and gardeners could go about their work without their comings and goings disturbing the owners and their vistors. Could this account for some of these ghost stories?
xchillx42
Sorry to disagree with you, but I believe they are, having some ghostly experiences myself. No, please disagree all you like weather you disagre or not has no bearing on what I believe only what evidence you present. So let us evaluate the 'evidence' you have presented. After reading your comment, I have concluded that your dog not down into the basement is not strange, my dog doesn't go into my attic, it has no reason to so does that mean my attic? Isen't it more probable that your dog doesn't want to go down there because it has no reason to, or prehaps it doesn't like the smell of the room, have you even considered any of these possibilities? As for the other stuff, well it's not even worthy of evaluation because it isen't evidence, just assertion. Unless you have a valid proof I suggest you stop disagreeing and start looking for some, because at this point in time, you have an irrational belief. Actually I have logical proof against the existence of ghosts; how much does a ghost weigh? If you say nothing then how does gravity affect it? If gravity doesn't affect it as soon as it manifests it will fly off the surface of the earth as fast as the earth is moving relative to space (very fast) If you answer (Insert mass here) The ghost effects reality in a way that is testable and thus you only need a pair of weighing scales to detect it. Unless you have another method of detecting ghosts then please sate your proof. Edited March 23, 2011 by xchillx42
