Could you tell me what The Rads actually was/did? Do you who owned and operated it? tomrux the 'rads' was Attercliffe Radical Club or 'rads' for short! It was a Workingman's Social club. Not sure who owned it, maybe the brewery (?) It had various stewards who ran it over the years - I think maybe 2 or 3 different ones in the short time I went there (approx 10 years over the late 70's early 80's until it's closure).
