Sell Off Local Green Belt Land

Not a good idea waters already struggling to drain away naturally and thd Victorian sewers can't cope adequately just look at catcliffe since the new estate was built water runs down the valley and floods thd village residents can't get insurance or sell property!

a lot of that is due to councils not clearing storm drains or building them properly and another reason is the environmentalists have made it more difficult to dredge rivers, canals, hedgerow dykes etc for fear of affecting wildlife

Plenty of brown field sites and land avaiable within the city boundaries.

why do you think developers are not buying these brownfield sites and dont want to develop them then????

not selfish just practical

we will need too eventually

There are lots of alternatives that can be done  first prior to building in the green belt though. So they’re a no need to take that action now.

Because they can get more money on a greenfield site.

We are more interested in housing for people who are struggling,  not more money for the rich.

In other words,  we want want the people need,   and not what the developers want.

So in your mind do we need to build in the green belt to suit the right type of development - or to accommodate people?

correct ! brown field sites are not profitable enough for developers thats why councils should develop them. as for people struggling a lot of that is to do with a severe housing shortage which is down to immigration not affordability.

Not practical to steal the land of the kids and citizens of the future.

You call it practical  -  everyone else calls it selfish.
