Many wireless devices collect infomation about the user and their operating environment. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is suppose to allow the user to request data from the device manufacturer. Â As an example a BBC click presenter had a robot vacuum cleaner controlled by an app on his smartphone. He took the vacuum cleaner to university specialising in investigating this type of device. Apparently the cleaner shares infomation (eg location, room size etc)Â with over 50 companies. Now go and get a TV license. muddycoffee   10 #4 Posted May 28, 2019 Why would I need a TV license to hear a programme that I could have written myself. I haven't got time to experience the dummed down BBC I'm too busy making phone apps and IOT gadgets from small microprocessor devices. Far more interesting.
 Share this content via...
