bassett one   453 #13 Posted July 1, 2018 as sec of the local tara,when we had a meeting on the week of the stabbing,we had a big turn out at our agm,the crime rate for our estate is average for Sheffield,but in the last 12 years its greatly improved ,our annual festival has only 1 incident in 9 years and that was in 2009 a lad hit some one over in 2 secs,the police have only visited our agm once in the last 10 years,we asked year for some money from the police crime fund for teenagers footie,dance ect,got turned down as our area was classed not a bad area crime wise,we used to have a youth club ,but the operaters closed it as they thought it was not used enough,i find the estate okay and many more feel the same,its visitors from nearby that cause our area problems,but crime is on the increase all over.
