yeraknow   10 #1 Posted May 18, 2006 Trying to get a decent chippy in the pinstone street area of town?  the closest chippy is down the back of the moor, the other up division street .  Im absolutely sick of pasties, sausagerolls, and burgers for a quick meal. Sure i could take sandwitchs but that isnt the point of this post.  Im thinking of starting a petition off, what do you guys reckon? Rich   12 #2 Posted May 18, 2006 And who would you send the petition to? The Council? Sorry mate but they'd look at it briefly, and promptly bin it.
 Share this content via...

TwoFour   10 #5 Posted May 18, 2006 Sorry, I agree with other poster. A complete waste of time.  I think if there was a real demand for a good chippy, there'd be one already.  Cheers
 Share this content via...

medusa   16 #8 Posted May 18, 2006 They can't bin any petition with more than 5 signatures without considering the subject of the petition at a meeting. They told me that when we were trying to get residents only parking in our cul de sac.
 Share this content via...
CherryNicole   10 #9 Posted May 18, 2006 But, yeah, how can they force someone to open a chippy though?!
 Share this content via...
medusa   16 #10 Posted May 18, 2006 That bit I'm pretty sure is down to someone actually wanting to open a chippy in the location- but the granting of planning permission is in their power.
 Share this content via...
