Although I don't agree with most of his ideology, he's selling himself based on looking after American interests. In American eyes he'll either be the American dream or a disaster. He's going on a spending binge using the country's collective credit card. Much will depend on whether the bailiffs show up within the 4 years or some time after. Do I understand you correctly? not really, he's just like the German National Socialist Party were in the late 1920s, or the British Social Democratic Party were in the early 1980s, grubbing around for votes wherever they could find them, and using a mixture or left-wing and right-wing rhetoric to get them. however Trump has been a lot more successful than they were. Justin Smith Posted January 29, 2017 Author Share Posted January 29, 2017 Well, Trump`s approval rating has dropped even lower, one poll had it at only 42%, which is unprecedented at this stage of any presidency. I don`t know about you, but it made me sick to see Theresa May creeping to Trump. Sick and embarrassed to be British, not that I`m so patriotic about the latter any more anyway. He's talking about bringing an end to American companies having carte blanche to fire their workers, move abroad to set up their company there, and think that their products will just flow back in to America. He's going to bring in a border tax to disincentivize them doing it. And you can tell he means it. Shame we haven't got leaders with that kind of backbone here.
