Apparently the whole area has been taped off and armed police are present due to a "live incident". This incident could go on for several hours according to local press.

Update 19:15pm : The whole of Washington road now closed due to incident. Policewoman on scene states the road will be closed for at least an hour or two. @MrJonMay

just saw the closure of Washington road, , pretty amazing, and disturbing

Wonder if it's linked to the very active police helicopter flying around the Abbeydale Road area.

Ive just seen the chopper too ,above me all the police said is that theyre lookin for someone .

There were 6 cars with dog vans and armed response stood outside a house at the bottom of Sandford grove rd and sheldon road . They were there for 20 minutes now theyve gone...
