angelstar904 Â Â 10 #1 Posted April 4, 2015 After signing the contract on a beautiful student room in Ecclesall my daughter has decided not to return to uni. I need to advertise her room to get someone to take over the contract. Â Does anyone know of anyone who would be interested or know of any good places/sites to advertise it. geared   321 #2 Posted April 4, 2015 There's a shop on Ecclesall road that handle alot of student lets, it's just by collegiate crescent.  To be honest tho, it's not very likely you'll get it let now - there's not that much time left in the term. I need to advertise her room to get someone to take over the contract. Â Does anyone know of anyone who would be interested or know of any good places/sites to advertise it. Â Is this a room in a shared house on a joint tenancy, or an AST tenancy with your daughter as the sole tenant? Is it a private let, or a student block? And (crucially) when is it for? Â Please be aware that unless you do find someone acceptable to the landlord, you remain liable for the rent and her other responsibities for the whole of the fixed term (assuming it's an AST - is it?) Â I've always found accommodationforstudents very useful for advertising rooms and whole houses. You could also contact the Accommodation Office in the Student Union - they often have details of individuals seeking accommodation. aliceBB Â Â 10 #7 Posted April 8, 2015 Also, has your daughter moved in yet - or is this a room she has signed up for for the next academic year? Â ---------- Post added 08-04-2015 at 17:42 ---------- Â Excellent warning advice, that; L cannot be forced into accepting a replacement T. Â Or the other tenants, for that matter, if it's a joint AST.
 Share this content via...
