cuttsie
Sounds like the DPF is stuffed up, usually a fairly hefty bill if it has to go to a garage. If you can get the light to go out, by turning the car off and then back on again you need to head straight to a motorway and thrash the nuts off it for a good half an hour. If not prepare to get your wallet out. ---------- Post added 26-02-2015 at 15:45 ---------- Petrols will have EGR, but not a DPF. They don't generate the soot and muck a Diesel engined car does so are less likely to clog the EGR valve. You can still ruin the exhaust catalyst by doing lots of short journeys tho. Is it possible to remove or bypass the D.P.F? any one.

This is a privately owned forum. If the owners want to allow businesses, who help individuals circumvent the law (and in doing so, harm the environment), promote themselves by proffering advice while having signatures promoting their services; that's up to them... I said that the thread has served it's purpose, and as far as I'm concerned, it now has no function and can be closed. Totally out of my hands now.
