Sirens and traffic

I'm sat at my desk in the City centre an I can hear lots of sirens, been going on for at least an hour.

 

Traffic was heavy too on St Mary's gate this morning.

 

Anyone know wha'ts happened?

I think traffic on St Mary's Gate has been busy for the past few weeks, we had a few calls to avoid the area where possible. I don't know which emergency vehicle siren's you can hear but I do know a couple of times last week a major incident was called from the ambulance service because of the amount of 999 calls they recieved.

Can't hear any sirens near the Cathedral (not from inside anyway and it's not like the windows here are thick).
