I3lade4life
I am trying my hand at my 1st PC build. I purchased a case with a USB 3.0 port but the motherboard doesnt support it. Is there a PCI card that I can buy that which will allow me to plug the cable from the port into it aswell as maybe adding some extra ports at the rear? Ghozer
You can buy USB 3.0, PCI/PCI-e cards yes.... You should be able to plug those ports into a standard USB 2.0 header on your board though... they will still work, just as USB 2.
Guest
What is the cable like? Is it a standard 9-pin for USB 2.0? USB 3.0 cables tend to be the bigger 19-pin jobbies these days, I have a PCIe USB 3 card but it has no header on the board so I still can't use it.
