Why our boycott campaign against Israel makes sense #BDS

Recommended Posts

How would you describe the Hamas rocket attacks? don't tell me - "heroic"

Are you insinuating I am an antisemitic terrorist supporter to portray me as some kind of monster so you can negate what I'm saying without discussing it in a reasoned way? Wouldn't be the first time it has happened on this thread.

Hamas haven't killed, maimed, orphaned and made homeless tens of thousands of Israeli civilians in the last few weeks alone. Hamas aren't driving Israelis into refugee camps so they can steal their land and build Palestinian settlements. If Hamas ever start practicing barbarism on the same industrial scale which the Israeli state does, you can be sure I will condemn it in equally strong terms.

Hamas was reported as saying that there would be "war in the future". So here we have a situation where a truce has been arranged by Egypt, supplies including steel and concrete allowed to pass into Gaza to help rebuild/repair the damage.

Will Hamas instead requisition these supplies to rebuild their tunnels instead...... just as they did before?

Once they start firing rockets into Israel again Israel is just going to retaliate in the same way. No end to it.

Just plain crazy, all of it.

So if you are dealing with an enemy who launches the rockets in the midst of densly populated areas explain exactly how you would take out these launch sites without harming so called civilian innocents?

It's a well known tactic used in the past. The Nazis built factories in densly populated areas with the idea (wrong as it turned out) that they would be safe from air attacks

Israel is an occupying force in gaza according to international law, maybe you should read up on why the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians started in the first place instead of conveniently forgetting about that and putting all the blame on the Palestinian side.

There's no future for Gaza if it's going to be guided by the likes of the policies of Hamas. The United Nations and the Arab League are the primary entities who should be working towards achieving a permanent settlement along with the assistance of western nations.

I dont agree with Israels's policy of building settlements on Palestinian territory. Obama is against it but he dont seem to have what it takes to slow Netanyahu down.

On the other hand if one day a settlemt is reached on Gaza and the occupation ends will Hamas also acknowledge Israel's right to exist?

They havent up to now !!

Will there be moderates among Hamas who will agree to Israel's right to exist?

I would certainly hope so. On the other hand will the fools and numbskulls prevail and believe that the Gaza settlement was the first step in eliminting Israel as a nation? Dont laugh ! It's happened before

The Palestinians need to somehow remove Hamas from the scene as a first step towards a real and lasting settlement

The report in this second link has been compiled by Israelis. Probably Hamas supporting antisemites.

There are pages and pages of stuff on google relating to Israel forcibly displacing Palestinians from the West bank to take their land. You should try reading a bit more.

No, that was definitely the Israeli military who did that.

It was most definitely the consequence of Hamas attacking Israel, using civilians to shield their rocket launch site, killing civilians with their unguided rockets, executing their own civilians, and their desire to destroy Israel.

That doesn't support your stance, its just states that Israel is building settlement on disputed territory.

It is Israel which is systematically destroying Palestine, by driving the Palestinians from their land. Israeli settlers are quite up front about it. They use the bible as if it is some kind of legal document equivalent to the deeds of a large tract of the middle east.

It would be easy to dissmiss them as just an insignificant bunch of fruit loops, were it not for the fact that the Israeli military clears the Palestinians from the land, guards the settlements, and engages in large scale retaliations against Palestinian civilians as a collective punishment for the actions of the militant groups which would inevitably spring up in any society subjected to such treatment.

Then we have the likes of you, telling us that no, it is the Palestinians who are attacking Israel. It is the Israelis who are the victims. Black is white. Up is down.

Disputed territory? Disputed in the sense that the people who are stealing it say it is their's now, because of the bible.
