anywebsite Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Low gears & engine breaking can help get grip back, or keep grip sometimes. Keep in low gear down hills, slow down early for junctions & change down gears before you hit any ice you see at a junction. Use winter tyres. Keep a close eye on the road surface, especially approaching bends & junctions. If you hit some thick ice you didn't see & end up in a skid then you can't really do a lot, just don't break too hard or steer too hard. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
