Ron Blanco
I was interviewed today about my book death of the regular on radio derby. There's more than one faux pas... I didn't notice any faux pas. A really good interview, I thought. I like the scattering of nostalgic photos on the website, and the extracts are funny. SarahD
Well done, Sarah. The 'Blemished' website looks so professional. I really like the trailer, too, with its eery music. I hope it's a great success. Thanks Ron! It's a slow start but I'm hoping things will pick up once I've released the sequel.

garypeacock
My Grandma used to say, 'never skimp on your bed or shoes, as you spend most of your life in them' I bet the ones who are moaning all have big flat screen teles.......... http://www.deathoftheregular.com
Mummytwo
Totally forgot to check this thread. Thank you for the replies to my question, they were indeed very helpful. My book is a horror/thriller, not sure how well it will do compared to all the erotica that's starting to come out
SarahD
I found a cheap place to pay for advertising. Best Indie Books is a site where you can put up an excerpt, your book cover, link to the book and info about yourself and they promote it on different social media links. You can keep the book up for a full week and pay just $3. It's the cheapest promo stuff I've found so far. I'll let you know if it boosts sales or not. Hopman
I'm in the middle of finalising Without Prejudice for Createspace and kindle. This is the sequel to Holding Briefs which came out on kindle last year. Update: Published yesterday and starting to sell....

garypeacock
Had another radio interview this week, amber sound fm. It was quite weird though, I wasn't allowed to say where my book was on sale, mention my website or mention the names of anyone featured in the book. I was also asked not to swear, which was a fair point. I've done bbc radio derby and they actively mentioned the places that the book was on sale. SarahD
Sarah, Was it any good? http://www.deathoftheregular.com I sold a couple of books but I've got no idea if they were in direct consequence of the advertising. To be honest, I don't think they were, and the website was poorly designed. There was a view counter on the page, but I soon discovered that it counted every time I viewed it. So I just clicked on refresh for a while to bump my book up through the ratings I wouldn't recommend it. My blog is going on a 'blog tour' next week. I'll let you know how that goes!
