MG ZR Head Gasket

Recommended Posts

That may be Russell, who is well known and very busy. I think a couple of other mobiles have set up and are getting good review on the Rover site.

I have a local mechanic who also works on mine but he prefers not to do the tf HG if he can avoid it, so i used Dave. I'm having the local guy do the freelander and its £180 including a skim on the head, the hg hasn't gone so its just precautionary so thought i'd drive in to him.

Where is the above from?

A bit of Googling finds..

Isn't Coventry a bit far?

Yes thats where we found it.

It is a bit far but i have been quoted £150 on top of the £300 for him to collect the car. Was just seeing if there was anywhere local who could do it for a similar price without the £150 recovery cost.

If you cant/don't want to wait for the mobile ones you could try Steve Mckie on Albert Strret North in Chesterfield..he's an MG specialist..don't know what he charges though..same with Mike Satur in Goldthorpe near Barnsley..

Done properly with the right parts it'll be fine..

Hopefully but the underlying 'defect' will still be there..namely that these engines are renowned for overheating
