Attercliffe road

can some one please tell me . what the old theatre/cinema was called in the 1940s/50s . that is now called the carpet mill on attercliffe road , sheffield , as i am trying to do research on my grandad thomas knight , who used to work there , or does any one know of any Knights , whome used to live around there at that time . thanks ,

I don't know about the carpet mill now but on Attercliffe Road it used to be Pavillion and Globe, both cinemas and the Palace, which was more or less opposite the Church and had live shows. The Adelphi was on Vicarage Road and was the next one up from Newhall Road.

wheres normanton springs ?? the only leads i have are carbrook street and the old cinema/palace , for some reason i think the adelphi was around the corner from the carpet mill , but thanks all the same .

 

The Pavillion was down towards Carbrook way......opposite Leigh Street?
