If you are concerned about signal quality it wont be a problem.

If you are concerned about number and type of channels its great - better

than Freeview and you still have the Freeview channels to fall back on

although all but about 3 channels are on Freesat - you also get some HD channels(about 4 at present)with more on the way.

Are you considering aTV with Freesat built in or a set top box?

Anyway we have had Freesat (built into TV)for over 2yrs and think its great.Sky

doesnt really offer us anything we are prepared to pay for!

For some excellent technical advice talk to Crampton and Moore in Ecclesfield Main Street - they were great with us.

Humax foxsat all the way, fantastic architecture/build that blows the Sky HD boxes away!

you can fill up the 500gb disk entirely without any crashes that the sky boxes occasionally (although all ours have failed and we are currently on our 4th) become susceptible to.

And whisper quiet with plenty of features!

£229 @ Richer sounds a couple of months ago and apart from a slight hitch on installing and setting up via the postcode my folks now say its perfect so going to ditch sky in the new year and get one in myself for definite, with more HD channels free on top of the current four> BBCHD BBC1HD ITVHD and CH4 then its future proof already.

I cant recommend the Humax-Foxsat setup highly enough!
