cuttsie   1,094 #97 Posted August 22, 2011 Yeah because the townhall extension was really worth looking at wasn't it? The world's ugliest building? I doubt most people in the world have ever heard of the NCPM or even seen a photograph of it, let alone visit it. Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder ain,t it. I happen to think that the Mona Lisa bird is no Bridgett Bardot, And as for Camilla Parker Balls well she will look good sat on the throne won,t she.  The Town Hall extension at least it was usefull unlike the pile of scrap that has proved its self to be The WORLDS Ugliest building and on top of that not fit for purpose! Captain_Scarlet   10 #98 Posted August 23, 2011 I heard this on the radio this morning and think it's ridiculous. The HUBS might not be to everyone's taste but it is by no means the worst new(ish) building in Sheffield never mind the world. I fail to believe there's not worse elsewhere either.  In many ways it was quite innovative in it's construction.  Stupid decision that is just bad press for no reason. The multi-coloured building opposite the IC is pretty ugly with the sixties coloured cladding but the kettles can by all means have the title. The Nelson Mandela Building was also a superior union.
