martyn1949 Â Â 12 #39 Posted June 16, 2011 Granted they don't do it anymore. A few law suits saw to that but it's just the fact that they have and would again if they could. Â It will soon be the largest supermarket in the country. Â I can't see a problem with the practice of insuring your staff - remember, if a staff member dies, it costs money to replace them - you have to recruit and train a replacement. What's wrong with insuring against those costs? Â Most companies do it for key staff, who would be expensive to replace.... Â Are people implying that if Walmart/Asda insure staff - the staff members family should get the benefit? Why? If they want protecting from the death of a earning family member, they (or the earner) can pay their own premiums. Â Or is this yet another plea about something for nothing? Rich   12 #44 Posted June 16, 2011 Going to be a lot of Manor folk upset Netto has changed. Is Asda a lot more expensive?  They're a bit dearer but better quality.. I still prefer Tesco though, although 30 years ago we did go to the Asda up Chapeltown quite a bit, I used to love their toy department
 Share this content via...

Lucifer   10 #48 Posted June 17, 2011 Do you know Walmart who own ASDA take out life insurance policies on their staff. They make money from the deaths of their staff. Even in some cases whilst the family of the deceased has been left with nothing. Walmart, a true family company.  If ASDA pay the premiums then thats fine by me. It's up to the family of the deceased to take out insurance for their loved ones.
 Share this content via...
