Unfortunately there are only so many betting positions per table, and after that it is just a waiting game until the people in front have played. As with the bar we had the maximum staff on that we can behind the bar as well as hiring over 500 extra glasses to ensure we could service people as they ordered. We opened 100 bottles of free champagne and poured 50 pints of lager at 11.50 that were distributed around the guests for the mid-night toast. We still had plenty of space for customers and it is company policy that we are always free entry, so we don't have the option of charging a ticket price. I am afraid that New Years Eve is of course a big night out and as most bars and restaurants will have found they were very busy! I myself only dealt with one direct complaint of service issues and we had over 800 people in the building at mid-night which in the grand scheme of the whole night, is good. If you had specific issues with any of the valets, next time you are here please speak with me and I can address those issues directly.
