NorfolkParka
Sandwich shop - shop specialising in the selling of sandwiches, usually made in front of you to order and your own specifications. Examples in town - Ritas, Philpotts, Figtree Sandwich Shop. Greggs - pre packed sandwiches - if it's not on the shelf, you can't have it (well from what I have seen). Northrend
And I wouldn't buy some condoms from them! Maybe some poo bags for when I have finished getting rid of the gunk..
swfcsy
But would you really call Greggs a "sandwich shop" in the true sence of the word? No, you wouldn't. Morrisons sell condoms, does not make them a chemist. :hihi:
BarmyArmy
All about the sausage cheese and bean melt!! I would blatenty choose a greggs over a kebabish!
lilmisslovet
i used to work for greggs in a small market town store and we made fresh sandwiches as customers want them, though we could only leave things out or change the bread as all prices are on the till and cant be changed, plus any use of extra ingredients would make an inbalance on the stock chart think about that before! AND YES ALL SANDWICHES ARE MADE IN STORE THAT DAY I SHOULD KNOW I WAS ALWAYS MAKING THEM, maybe sheffield stores are not allowed to prepare individual sandwiches as they are much busier. as the food is obviously so good! Not true, if you order their coffee and bacon sandwich for £2 breakfast deal they make the sandwich in front of you and you get to choose whether to have sausages in it and what sauce on top. Okay it's not luxury cuisine but it serves a purpose and what do you expect for £2?
adrianm
Think about it logically Adrian mate, the massive regenration down there into an entended student area attracts the likes of Greggs to the area does'nt it, dozens of lazy students who would rather grab an affordable pasty for dinner rather than lift a saucepan. I don't think this is the end of the new names that will appear within the area either, I mean since the opening of the student complex and the proposition of many more student buildings being knocked up in the area there area will attract many more of the chain shops.....So far we have seen Subway, Sainsbury's, Wilkinsons, Aldi, your greggs store and theres rumours of a new KFC off the Bramall lane roundabout too.... Well I suppose when you think about it logically you may be right regarding the students, and I'm not saying that greggs is the best thing since sliced bread (ha pun) but I won't be catching a bus to town for a sandwich for instance, all I am saying is compared to whats at the bottom end of London Rd its ok. And to add to the amount of new shops opening, there is going to be another Costcutter on Bramall Lane on the same side as the Copthorne Hotel where the crossroads is at Cherry St.
