I do own a cigarette lighter a rather nice Ronson but have never smoked myself unless you incklude the 'trying it out' time that most kids experience.

I don't have a problem with people smoking unless they are directly blowing it in my face and the lighter came in handy when I was asked as I often was for a light.

My last two girlfriends smoked and I never felt like i was having a close encounter with a chimney and I even got used to the yellow nicotine stained fingers in time.

Yeeeeees

Incorrigible

Unccoruptable

Very happy and content, and can't understand why people are so fanatical about what is a very personal choice.

I don't smoke in "No Smoking Areas"

I count the open air as "As much mine as anyones"

I don't blow smoke at people!

I will apologise and walk away from anyone who seems affected. (Often a barrage of false pathetic coughs).

I will discard my cigarette butts into the appropriate litter bins.

If Junk foodies have irresponsibly put greasy wrappings in there, blame them for the fire.

I don't believe the horror adverts on TV, and think they apply more to the fast food munchers.

In fact, after smoking for more than fifty years of a very active life, I will carry on until my last smoke (Cremetorium Chimney)

I used to many years ago and giving up was probably the best thing I've ever done. Although, I did find that it was torture when I was out drinking and everyone around me was smoking, but that made me more determined not to give into the dreaded tobacco.

Absolutely, Karen.

Me too never have never will.

Both my parents were chain smokers, It got my Mum with throat cancer.

Spookily, today would be her birthday so I'm off to the cemetery later. :(

How can anyone answer that Don?

Commiserations on your loss, but I do remember Steel Peach and Tozer with seven chimneys, each churning out a different colour smoke in the rovverum area!

Thanks Sheffco, I wasn't really after a big hug ;) but it's always welcome.

I remember too the old 208 Wigmores bus service from Dinnington (where we lived) that ran into Sheffield.

She was a clippie on there for a number of years.

Lots of time if you sat on the back seat you couldn't see the front of the bus for smoke - especially when the steelworkers were heading into attercliffe & Tinsley :gag:
