Has anyone seen these? I was just outside having a smoke, no sound, nothing, the whole sky light up bright green, bright red twice, light up my whole garden and the whole sky (im in chesterfield) and my friend in dronfield has seen it, cant imagine a firework lighting up so much area with no noise, has freaked me out a little to be honest! Just strange with no sound, and the fact my whole garden light up, but i couldnt see a starting point, was literally just the whole sky..

yeah we saw them too! We're in Dore Moor and overlook Chesterfield and the flashes lit up the whole sky and the whole of the town - the light mushroomed right up into the sky and flattened out like a huge thunderstorm weird lightening type flash - completely bizarre. We thought it was a firework at first but to be honest it looked more like an atomic bomb explosion!!!

Saw these flashes myself around 22:55. Lit the whole sky and the ground very brightly for around half a second each flash. It seemed to be to the north west of Chesterfield.
