Spaulding Posted June 27, 2005 Share Posted June 27, 2005 I went to King Egbert but in the sixties when it was a school for "young ladies"Miss Coates was the head and Miss Varah the deputy.Wasn't a bad school,except for deportment and elocution.Can you imagine a Sheffield lass trying to talk posh?Do you mean St. Barnabas on Alderson Rd?If so. Also we use to play Alderson road at football Cecil road was near Highfield school (behind Sharrow lane) Both junior schools were a part of St Barnabus church.
