King ecgberts school in the 70's totley.

I went to King Egbert but in the sixties when it was a school for "young ladies"Miss Coates was the head and Miss Varah the deputy.Wasn't a bad school,except for deportment and elocution.Can you imagine a Sheffield lass trying to talk posh?Do you mean St. Barnabas on Alderson Rd?If so. I also went there in the 50s

Hi spaulding bit before my time but it was a mixed school in the 70's. Also we use to play Alderson road at football Cecil road was near Highfield school (behind Sharrow lane) Both junior schools were a part of St Barnabus church.
