dmh79 Â Â 10 #2 Posted September 1, 2009 The Blu-ray drive is noticeably louder when player blu-ray movies than on the old PS3, it has no backwards compatibility for PS2 or PS1 and it has also had even more of the USB ports removed. Its basically continuing in the same fashion of removing functionality to reduce the price to a more reasonable level, just like they've done with previous models (originally the PS3 had full backwards compatibility, SD card slot, memorystick slot, flashmedia slot and extra USB ports, all of which were removed to knock the price down). The only thing that is an improvement over the last model is a slightly larger HDD (although PS3 takes a standard 3.5" HDD so can be replaced quite easily), and the obvious size difference. It also consumes less power.
 Share this content via...
