TimmyR Â Â 10 #1 Posted May 12, 2009 My girlfriend has a VW polo 1.0. Its exhaust has started blowing a bit from somewhere near the engine (as far as my untrained eye can tell). Does anyone know if this is going to require a whole new exhaust or can these things be patched up? Where is a good place to get it looked at? biotechpete   10 #2 Posted May 12, 2009 I'm not a mechanic but I know that the polo exhaust is in three parts. I've had the two back pieces replaced fairly cheaply but was told that the font one (manifold) was an expensive job.  People I know use Chris Harrison motors just of Penistone Rd for repairs. jonny391   10 #3 Posted May 12, 2009 hi, if you say its blowing from near the engine it could be the manifold, or the flex just down from the manifold, about £25 from the scrap yard for the manifold, if it is i would'nt patch it up as it will more than likely start blowing again. TimmyR Â Â 10 #4 Posted May 12, 2009 Cheers for the advice. I'll try and crawl under and have a closer look I think.
 Share this content via...
