Badly treated by Argos - lets get together!

Sorry but doesn't the sale of goods act state that the goods must be as described and fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality?

i.e. A sofabed is both a sofa and a bed and must be suitable for both purposes regardless of whether or not it is considered to be occasional furniture.

Check out the following and it may give you a little more ammunition to fire at their customer services dept.

We got our sofabed from Argos - as I recall they had different models depending on whether you wanted 'regular use as a bed' or 'occasional use as a bed'. I think all types stated suitable for regular use as a sofa...!

The occasional bed ones had thinner foam mattresses and a less sturdy frame as a pose to thicker sprung mattresses and a higher-quality frame.

We got one of the cheapest ones, but then we do only use it occasionally...
