LordChaverly
The museum of Communism is well worth a visit. Its in the city centre, above MacDonalds and next to the casino. If you like classical music you will be in your element. There are probably more musical events events in prague than any where else. The castle area is a must also. You will have a good time though just wandering around. Food and drinks are still very cheap (hence its growing reputation as the stag party capital of Europe). Watch out for the pickpockets though. And ignore anyone on the street offering to give you a good deal on changing money.
Internetowl
also watch out for taxi drivers ripping you off....they are known for it - public transport is fine and cheap..
Ems30
I've just come back from Prague actually, we went for this school thing. Came back on Monday, it was pretty cold but there was some good stuff there, loads of McDonalds though! The castle area was nice, and if your looking for somewhere to eat theres a very nice pizza place in the town centre, I can't remember what its called but its on the main street with the statue of the horse. Hope that helps anyway...

venger
Also massive jazz scene. Why not get a travel guide from the central library, very useful indeed.
harrietgirl
Hey, I went to Prague last year, it's a beautiful city. My tip would be to go see the Astronomical Clock in the old town square, and St Charles Bridge. Petrin Hill is quite nice if a mini eiffel tower and mirror maze is your thing! Also try the beer as it is so unbelievable cheap! Apparently the Czech Republic is the biggest beer drinking population in the world! When I went in september they had paddle boats you could hire on the river for a few quid, I don't know if they run in the winter months though. Have a great time!
