I'd be more than happy to forget everything around Christmas and Birthdays. I don't need any gifts or bottles of booze or clothes. If I do, I buy for myself as and when. I don't like cards as see them as a waste of paper and an expensive stamp. I can cope with a few days away somewhere but I'd do that anytime, not just when it's a birthday. If its for kids I can understand it, but I've never had kids so luckily escaped that too.

I could think of a few places to send Liz Truss.

Many thanks for your responses. I'll pass the info onto my friends mum who is looking to get this sorted.

I had some really small sweet bananas a few years ago in Cuba. Absolutely delicious. OP wouldn't have been happy though.
The current popular Cavendish ones were developed at Chatsworth if my memory serves me reet.

Good luck with growing bananas.

Now has some maybe Moorish or Indian style window trim to the glazing. Could it be an Indian restaurant? Big gap in the market for one in Broomhill.
If its an Indian, let's hope that it's better than Balti Ming... shouldn't be too difficult...

For me Jaflong was always decidedly average. But the very best of luck to them opening up on Eccy Road which can be a tough nut to crack.

I remember walking up Spital Hill as a young un and the road being lined with BMWs and people selling £5 bags of weed... you'd plead with them for just a little but more and they'd usually oblige... Good times.
I miss The Kashmir and Mangla...

Some parts are ok but steer well away from welland crescent and nearby areas
Has the area around Welland Crescent improved at all? Apparently some money was spent making improvements around there.

Why do the UOS always build such utter modern sh!!te buildings that will look awful in a few years. Maybe it's part of the brief that the latest one has to be even more sh!!te than the one before...

You can't always judge a book by its cover.
Guardian readers are supposed to be tofu eating, sandal wearing members of the moderate left. Which is true-ish. I think most stereotypes do come from somewhere that has a grain of truth.
Or perhaps he could be a right winger reading the Guardian to see what the enemy is thinking.
I subscribe to The Guardian online but also have the Daily Hate app (non subscription) on my phone to see what the enemy is thinking (and also laugh at the comments).

I’ve been a couple of times and it’s good but I generally go to the Attercliffe one for the last 25 years
thank you 👍
I've also been to the Conisbrough Indus but never Attercliffe. Next time I go for a curry I'll go there

If near to you, I'd recommend Cafe Indus on London Road. Their curries are tremendous.

Let's hope it can spread outside Orchard Square and down Fargate...
