I wonder how many of those people who advocate a more let's say,robust style of policing would be rushing to defend the police officers who would undoubtedly find themselves being investigated for assault or be subject to complaints for being racist? Not many, I suspect Policing in this country is about upholding the law. If people don't like that then lobby the MPs to change them.

I work with a colleague who's daughter is wanting a work experience opportunity where she can speak Spanish. She is a confident 15 yr old student who speaks and understands Spanish to a good standard. Her long term aim is to work in a multi-lingual environment. Does anyone know of anywhere that could best accomodate her? Its offers of help that she needs. Thanks

How fast were you travelling? If you were just over the limit you may be given the benefit of doubt. There is also a possibility that you will be offered the chance to attend the speed awareness course as an alternative to getting penalty points. If you were caught then your dad will be sent a notice requiring him to declare who the driver was. This notice of will be sent within 14 days of the offence. It would be a seperate offence committed by the owner to fail to notify the police who the driver was!

Hi we went to the Good Food Show this Thursday. There was a lot of traffic on the M42 junction 3-6 and when coupled with the roadworks on the M1 between junction 28 to 25 it took nearly 2 hours. Its worth checking the travel details before you set off because almost every day there's an accident in the roadworks or between junction 28 - 30 M1. That can seriously extend journey times. My 18 yr old son passed his test this afternoon and clearly I'm thrilled for him. What I'm not so thrilled about is the £2,500 insurance I will have to help him find to get him on the road. I know young drivers are more likely to have an accident and thats why he's taking the pass plus course. Little wonder so many are driving round without any though!!
